Our site, egyptek.com, was running default joomla seo very well.

Our website's main navigation bar, is composed of Virtuemart menu items, each pointing to a different category id.

I bought ace sef pro and virtue mart extension, and installed them, with the default valus.

After installing ace sef, choosing any virtuemart menu item always leads to the first Virtuemart menu item

ex: Choosing computer hardware>processor>amd processor
should lead to :
www.egyptek.com/computer-hardware/processor/amd-processor
but leads to:
localhost/egyptek/all-categories (first virtuemart menu item)

I remember reading before that using joomla menu for Virtuemart always chooses the first Virtuemart menu item for navigation and breadcrumbs, perhaps this is affecting the generated sef.

Now, I want to use it for an other website and I have a problem with the configuration:
I install the component,
I change the htaccess.txt to .htaccess,
I turn On sef url and Apache mod_rewrite in the Global Configuration of Joomla,
I insert the download ID in the table on the right in AceSef Control Panel
all is OK
My problem comes when I want to configure the component!
All my settings are done, I click on "Save" ... and nothing happens!
When I click on "Save" button, the url is :
localhost/mywebsite/administrator/index....onfig&task=edit#
It's the same thing with the "apply" and the "reset" buttons in this Configuration Page!

when I generate new URL, all is ok
when I modify metadata, all is ok
I can configure all extensions (AceSaef, Banner, Contact, Content...) in the table on the right side in the Control Panel.

im trying to add custom url but every time with every url i add i got some mysql red error on table ???? i cant grab it because immediatly close.

The custom url is not add.

Having searched the forums here, I have checked my plugin ordering as suggested, with no improvement.

Interestingly, I have a previous version of the site running locally on my computer, with Acesef version 1.5.17, and it works as expected. But a localhost version of the site running Acesef 1.5.18 displays the same behaviour as the live site.

Any ideas on how to go about sorting this out? I can make a XML sitemap by pressing the "Generate Sitemap-button", but it only creates a XML file for search engines. How can I make a sitemap for my Joomla site so that people can click on it to browse to that specific page, and how can I clean this sitemap so that there aren't thousands of links in it, only product catagories and articles for instance? I'm facing an issue with Joomfish version 2.1.7.
In ACESEF metadata configuration page I have

• Enable auto Title set to yes
• Include site name set to Yes - after page title

Problem is the site title is different depending on the language (French and English). But ACESEF always set the title in the meta title as the one is the default language (French).

How can I make the autogeneration of the meta title work depending on the language?

If that's a fix that you've implemented in the very last version of ACESef I'm willing to pay for the upgrade.

I'm having some trouble getting AceSearch to work properly on my site.

1. I'm getting an error when no results are found (see attached screenshot)
2. For some reason the Refinement options aren't showing up even though I've set them to show
3. The Extra Fields aren't showing up when I select a specific section, even though I've set them to show as well

Help please?

I also have a question about sections/filters:

I have 2 "sections" on the site I need people to be able to search: Content & PhocaDownload component. Is it possible for the user NOT to have to choose either "Content" or "Phocadownload"? i.e. they could select ONE section that would show both the "Content" categories & the "PhocaDownload" categories for users to choose from?

Failing this, is there a way to duplicate sections and name them different things? My ultimate goal is that users can just pick from a list of my own predefined sections: Forms, Procedures, Policies, etc, and then assign filters for each Section. However since both Policies and Procedures are both "Content", it seems I'd need 2 "Content" extensions active, you see?

Hopefully you can get an idea of my end goal here. I would just prefer people not have to choose a type (section) before choosing a category to narrow down search results - apologies for any confusion! If I need to clarify let me know.

i installed acesef 1.7.3 with course-manager-component 1.7.1 with course-manager-acesef (bought 10.jan 2012)extention.
When you click on the courses, you will be redirected to the same page.

This is only if acesef is enabled. When acesef is disabled everything is working.

I allready tried to change router settings. No effect.
